WKA – Façade Ideation Architect

In collaboration with BOLD Mimarlik, Turkey (Executive Architect & Architect of Record) and SOM, USA (Structural Engineer)

The projects are located in Sisli, one of Istanbul’s 39 districts and a major commercial and retail hub on the European side of the city. WKA was commissioned to develop façade ideation options for the re-expression and external redesign of two significant multi-tower developments within this district.

SCP – Sisli Mixed Use Project

SCP comprises four towers, each rising to 144 metres. Three of the towers are residential and the fourth tower accommodates a hotel. At the uppermost levels, a sky bridge links the towers, forming an iconic elevated resort deck that unifies the development visually and functionally. At podium level, a semi-covered ETFE canopy provides weather protection and defines the public realm. This lightweight structure enhances street-level vibrancy while offering sheltered access to retail and commercial spaces positioned across the ground and basement levels of all four towers.

SKP - Sisli Kaptanpasa Project

SKP consists of two towers. A 139 metre office tower, with hotel accommodation occupying its upper floors and a 111 metre residential tower. These are connected by a Hotel Resort Sky Bridge set 107 metres above ground level, creating a dramatic elevated link and a distinctive architectural focus within the development.

Connectivity Between Sites

A community link bridge spans the road between SCP and SKP, integrating the two sites into a coherent urban ensemble. This elevated connection enhances pedestrian circulation, improves vehicular flow beneath, and supports the development’s “Live, Work, Play” ethos by enabling seamless movement and interaction between the mixed-use components of both projects.
